Mantiq at-Tayr, Sufist poem from middle-age Iran, brings profane to illumination. Talab (search) is the first step of this journey, another spiritual step of the mystical pilgrim Hassan K.
With his 13 tracks, Hassan K shows his Iranian roots, like on his last LP, 30 Birds. Talab is very rich and brings you to weird electro, surf music and even heavy metal. The release also shows quiet compositions and cinematographic pictures.
Hassan K has lots of influences but he stays always coherent and has a very personal sound signature.

Le Mantiq at-Tayr, poème soufi de l’Iran médiéval, amène le profane vers l’illumination. Talab (la recherche) est la première étape de ce périple, une autre étape spirituelle du pèlerin mystique Hassan K.
Avec ces 13 morceaux, Hassan K fait de nouveau écho à ses racines iraniennes comme dans sa précédente release, 30 Birds. Talab est un album riche en influences et en sonorités inattendues. L’écoute réserve de nombreuses surprises, en nous amenant vers de l’électro barrée, de la surf music ou du métal, mais livre également des instants plus calmes à l’écriture intimiste. Sa musique est imagée voire cinématographique.
Malgré toutes ses influences la force de Hassan K est de rester cohérent et de disposer d’une signature bien à lui.
